Just how much fun can you have in the snow?

Snow has become a standard in Britain in recent years and we've all started to wise up and get prepared for the onslaught of bad weather as the nights draw in - with early snow predicted for 2012, Camping World take a look at other ways you can entertain yourself when the snow falls and the country closes.

Once you are all set with your winter jacket, warm boots and waterproof gloves you can start looking at some more practical pieces of equipment - portable ice grips or mini-crampons have been around for a couple of years now, fit over a standard shoe and really help with grip when walking on icy roads and pavements. A portable snow shovel is a must for keeping in the car when you are driving in snow conditions, as well as wheel grip mats and an emergency blanket or two just in case.

With the essentials covered, you can look at getting a sledge to make the most out of the snow - you can get cheap sledges, plastic toboggans, budget bin lids and all sorts of slippers and sliders that will guarantee a fun time. You may be surprised by how practical a sledge can be even for just taking the kids out when a push-chair or stroller just won't make it! Camping World even have a purpose designed sledge with seatbelt for babies so you can get out in the snow! Further up the scale you can get sledges with steering wheels, brakes, sliders and even collapsible wooden sledges for those that like to enjoy the snow the traditional way!

Getting funky, you can accessorise with a unisex onesie Chalet Suit and wrap up warm in an all-in-one breathable microfleece - the look to get this year as modelled by the X Factor stars and boys from One Direction!

Nothing could make you cooler, though, than sporting a Snow Blaster. Quite simply, this awesome armory includes a blaster that can fire snowballs up to 50 feet with deadly accuracy! Create your ammunition in bulk with the Snowball Maker - a must for dads that saves freezing fingers and gives you an edge on those pesky kids!. Last but by no means least is the Tracball Snowball Chucka which combines lacrosse with snowballs to add range, power and accuracy to your snowball fun!

For budding winter sports enthusiasts, you can buy a beginners snowboard designed for learning on shallow slopes in the UK, as well as mini skis designed to fit over normal boots allowing you to teach your kids in the relative calm of the UK.
