Where can I buy oversize, XL or plus size ski wear?

The British love to ski - how it came about we don't know, as Britain is the least snow-covered little island in Europe. Nevertheless, we all go crazy for the pistes, which means we've got to travel to get there by plane, train or car. With the Alps being more accessible and arguably better fun than Aviemore when you take in the local night life and culture, cheaper air fares have led to more and more of us taking up winter sports, once only the preserve of the mega-rich.

However, the more popular skiing and snowboarding becomes - it has boomed in recent years with only a very slight dip in winter holidays throughout the recession - the more difficult it becomes to clothe everybody! The standard big name manufacturers cater to the traditional cool and chic snowboarder, or athletic svelte skier, but what of the average Joe and Jane? With manufacturers barely reaching up to a size XL or 16 in their sizes, and only making limited numbers of these when they do, where do you look for good quality, good looking gear that caters for the larger winter sports enthusiast?

Roll up skiing specialists White Rock. A niche but well established brand, White Rock focuses on both quality and design, providing some of the coolest skiing gear available, as well as more traditional garb all with high rated fabric specifications. Used by the British Olympic Aerials Team, as well as numerous other organisations, White Rock is a well received brand on the slopes - unique and small enough to stand out as an energetic independent and big enough to provide enough of what we need.

Now, how does all this fit in with the plus sizes you might ask? Well, White Rock saw a niche and jumped in two footed: with various styles available in women's sizes from 8 to 30 and men's from XXS all the way to 7XL, there's something for everyone in the White Rock catalogue. So whether you're new to the sport, or need some serious off piste wear in 3XL, you can get it from White Rock.

Just as they did for Winter 2009/10, CampingWorld.co.uk is stocking the entire range of White Rock for 2010/11 which includes loads more men's and women's styles adding to their already large range. Contemporary styling and high quality gear are the two key features of this year's range, along with a healthy size range catering for all body shapes and sizes.

A special mention must be made about White Rock's Sno Fit Slim Pants - uniquely designed ski salopettes aimed squarely at the average man. Featuring a wider waistband to cater for plenty of on-piste San Miguel, these larger trousers stick with shorter leg sizes so the Sno Fit's are proportional to the average Joe. Specifically, the design doesn't assume that all chaps that require a 2XL waist are 6'8" and need an extra long leg. Hugely popular, White Rock have hit the nail on the head with this design, and just having the availability of something like this really opens up the sport to people that would not otherwise be able to try it out.

So, if you are a little heavy but still fancy the slopes or just a great winter coat, nothing is stopping you at all - with styles offering great value right the way through to high spec luxury ski wear, the White Rock range has it all.
