It’s a pricey tent but I think it’s worth it! It’s a very well thought out tent, all the blinds fold away into there own pockets and the top vents built into the windows are very handy for air flow. The internal sleeping compartment can be removed but you wouldn’t benefit from the black out material built into the top of the inner which works really well. Think I would of preferred the inner to extend all the way to the end of the tent rather than have the storage area although it comes in handy. Very easy to inflate the beams, takes minutes, I’d recommend making sure their seated into the corners correctly before fully inflating them. I didn’t have to put anymore air in them on a 4 night stay. I’d say it’s big enough for a couple and that’s it, I bought it just for me and it’s the ideal size. A few negatives, the front pegging points seemed to be put together wrong as the guy ropes are attached to the same bit of strapping but it seemed it was put together in the wrong order, I was able to unthread them easy enough and put it right and the second is the guy ropes themselves, I would of preferred actual ropes instead of the straps as they don’t pull tight very easily and it makes it a bit awkward trying to cinch the tent up! See how it goes after another trip. I would opt for the poly cotton over polyester as it breaths very well, I could easily sit inside the tent with the door mesh zipped up and vents open on a boiling hot day.
Only used for 3 nights so far and no rain more heavy than a light shower, but it was 20 degrees plus and blazing sun during the day. As you'd expect from a canvas-style tent, it dealt with the high temperature very well. Sleeping compartment was warm during the day but that'll happen. Living compartment is Extremely well ventilated with just the mesh door zipped up, and the mesh windows and bottom vents opened. Very nice, large vent on the top of the sleeping compartment door, and if it's a very warm night I would open the rear storage zip to vent out the back bottom vents, but the inner also being poly-cotton meant it breathed enough for the two of us going from 23c days to 10c nights. 2 light carabiner clips in the front living space, but none in the sleeping space: there are 4 clip receivers, 1 in each corner, but nothing I can see included to attach anything with them and nothing in the manual? I might be missing something though. Takes minutes to put up solo, and I'd say you wouldn't need to be very tall to do it. It's very quick and easy to pack up, too. The sleeping compartment will easily fit three, the living space would with smallish chairs but no table: we used two medium camp chairs and a medium table against the side wall. Biggest downside is weight & bulk, but that's the trade off with poly-cotton/canvas (in my opinion.)
This isn't the cheapest but it just may be the best in its class. We are 1st time campers so I did a lot of homework on tents and this just kept coming up as the best. We've had our 1st outing and it was great, easy set up and felt robust and bigger inside than I thought.
