Our Story 

In 1994, founders Tony and Paul moved with their families to the Devon coast in search of a new, more adventurous lifestyle. Unspoilt beaches, rugged coastlines and moor peaks dominated their weekends as they explored the new locations around them.

Paul, in particular, had a passion for water sports but disliked overpaying for adventure appropriate clothing (especially board shorts!). The friends spotted an opportunity to create their own designs and began providing their new brand to family and friends. Soon they were supplying local surf stores and, as the business grew, the Urban Beach brand naturally transitioned from surf into skate and snow inspired products. 

Fast forward the journey over 20 years and the same passion for adventure, entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to quality is at the heart of Urban Beach, underpinning our growth, both around the UK and internationally. Today, you can find Urban Beach products in over 10 countries across 3 continents.
