It's a kettle! You fill it up (easy to do) and heat it up. It whistles loudly enough to hear even if you aren't next to it. The collapsible handle is a little lose - maybe there's a knack. It would be nice if this could lock into place, but that's a minor grumble.
Excellent value for money. Arrived quickly and has performed well to date. Not tried on wood burning stove yet but on camping gas cooker great. What's not to like for £11?!
