Canyoning UK

Campsite Chatter's Campsites near Canyoning pages provide all the information you will need to organise a memorable camping trip packed with the stimulation and rush of a great canyoning experience.

Canyoning? What on earth? To the uninitiated canyoning must look and sound like complete madness. 1) Climb to the top of a wild canyon. 2) Get to the bottom of said canyon in whatever fashion you fancy. Of course, there's a fair bit of skill involved, with abseiling, traversing, some white-water negotation and basic mountaineering skills thrown in for good measure. But those of you for whom FUN is high on the agenda (and why not?!) will be glad to know that leaping, scrambling, sliding and chuting on your backside are also entirely appropriate.

Canyoning in the Lake District (where is it also known as Ghyll or Gorge Scrambling) is a long-celebrated way of appreciating the beauty and wildness of this fabled landscape.
