Kampa Magnetic Drive Away Kit From  £27.99

I bought this as I didn't want to drill any more holes in my self build camper.

This works very well and is so easy to use, one tip would be to tether down the strips with guide ropes before fixing the awning as we found when we were pulling the awning along the rail, the rail slid off occasionally.

Great piece of kit though and would definitely recommend it.

Bought this magnetic drive away kit for my Transit Custom as I didn't want to drill holes in the roof for the rail.
Quite fiddly to manage to get it to stay into place (for the first time!) But after using the additional straps supplied with the Cove 2 drive away awning we managed to get it to stay in place.
Not used it in anger yet, just hope it stays in place during wind and rain.
Great alternative to drilling and fixing a permanent rail on your pride and joy though!
Cant help felling that the magnets could do with being a little stronger though.
Good value for money though

Although this product is well made, unfortunately the magnet does not hold it on top of the van so we bought some extra large strong magnets to put over it which secures it just fine on van roof. Otherwise we are happy with quality of stitching and figure of 8 fixing. Would recommend,just be mindful of the magnet not being strong enough

I ordered this Kampa magnetic drive away awning kit on Thursday morning and it arrived the following morning. Very impressed with the service from Camping World. The magnetic awning strip works well and is so easy to use!

Ordered the Driveaway Kit for the purpose of making my camping experience an easy one. The quality of the Kit and the material it's made from leaves doubt in my mind that it will do the job and last a long time!!

Bought this as new to campervan and driveaway awnings, Quite long at 3m as our roof slightly shorter than this but works perfectly and holds awning in position.

Unfortunately the magnets are nit strong enough once the awning is attached.we added extra strong magnets which is better but needed the guy ropes for security. It is well made and stitching is strong,we just needed to work out how to make it work.

Slightly dubious that this would stay on the van in poor weather but it's just worked amazingly well during a very stormy night on Mull. Impressed.

simplicity itself, takes no time nor effort to attach to van and works a treat. 10/10

Quick and convenient for summer camping. Not sure if it would hold to well in any kind of breezy conditions. But on the whole does the job for a good price.
