We got the 2008 model of this tent and have had many happy camping trips in it. It is a LARGE tent. We are lucky enough to have a camping trailer to fit it in. It's not for the faint hearted! It has big heavy poles and is made from heavy polycotton but it is worth the effort.

It takes about 1 hour to pich correctly (with 3 people). The side tensioner poles make it a very sturdy tent. We've never needed to put any of the side guy ropes out. Front and back are usually enough. Take a small set of steps to attach the inner tents - it's a very high ceiling.

It's a very roomy tent with nice features. The zip in ground sheet is great. A bit fiddly to get started but high quality heavy duty zips. The heavy polycotton makes it quiet even in wind and rain and darker than your average tent giving those precious extra minutes of sleep!

In a nutshell, it's big, heavy and more expensive than most 7 berth tents but worth the effort and every penny! I would never go back to a cheaper model after this one.

It's worth getting the footprint groundsheet so you can work out where the tent will go. It's also worth checking with campsites regarding the dimensions.

Agree with the comments on needing 2 or 3 people errect tent, but with three teenage kids when we first bought one on there introduction, this was not a problem. The polycotton material sold it to us when we first walked into a show model on a very sunny hot day and it was very cool, but also found it wrm on cold windy summer days. After 6years of use, still as good as new!

Spacious quality tent. Used it 4 times last year. Takes a bit of time to erect but it's not complicated. Heavy when packed & we use a trailer as it is bulky. Much quieter & darker than our old tent but has lots of windows & useful porch stops rain. Our old tent, an outwell Georgia, was warmer as it was smaller & had an inner tent so had to buy a second heater for cold nights! Overall I would recommend it but I did have a pole snap in bad winds in Norfolk in August & now found out it will cost £130 to replace & pole has to be sent from abroad so not cheap or easy to get repaired.

Once it's up, this tent gets lots of admiring comments and nods of the head. But that's only half of it: it takes ages to put up, is so incredibly heavy that it needs two people to get the two packs out of the car and actually breaks quite a lot. Putting it up and taking it down in even moderate winds can be a feat of engineering in itself and when bits break (like one of the poles on mine), spare parts are expensive and not easy to find on the net. Not ideal for short camping trips, and at well over £1000, think very carefully if all you really need is a short break kind of tent...this thing should be put up at the beginning of the Summer and not taken down until Autumn.
