Having persevered with the handpump to inflate my Kampa Pro air awning I decided to try the electric Breeze pump after seeing it at the Manchester Show. What a difference. Not only does the awning inflate so much faster, avoiding the need to take rest breaks but I can leave it running until it reaches the set PSI and then it stops automatically. No worrying about over inflating, it stops automatically , The pump also speeds up deflation as well. Very impressed so far.
OK, so not the quietest of electric air-beam pumps, but you can't expect such a high speed pump to be quiet.
Nice pump, easy to operate and it inflates the air-beams to the exact pre-set pressure in no time. Being a two stage pump it first blows in high volume of air, then switches to high pressure mode to finish the job.
My only criticism is that the cable could be longer, or they could include a 12v extension lead as Vango do.
I lost my old 2 stage pump to a flood (don't ask) I can't remember the brand other than it was bigger than the Breeze, yellow in colour and bloody noisy. So noisy in fact that we took to manually inflating our tent not wanting to annoy our fellow campers !
This pump works like I hoped that the old one would have, plus it's much quieter and almost half the price :)
Just a shame that it doesn't serve free beer or do the washing up ;)
I purchased this pump to save me effort when inflating my awning, initially I was disappointed as the unit changes over to hi press pump a little early.
More instructions should be available on the machine especially the need to Zero the display before use.
Was shocked to find same unit in Go Outdoors for nearly half price although in orange.
I have not used this yet but it arrived promptly and in good condition. Seems sturdy and operates as stated but I will not know how efficient it is until my next trip. So watch this space!
