This is a great family tent, loads of room and the light that comes in from the panorama room at the front makes it feel even bigger. Putting it up from opening the bag to the last guide rope took my wife and I one hour and twenty five min, (tip, study the you Tube video on how to do it) and follow it , it really does work, I got the foot print, carpet and tent in a bundle, the foot print keeps the base of the tent dry and the carpet makes the tent floor feel very warm. Taking it down took roughly the same amount of time and again check out the you tube vid and stick with it (don't go doing the bloke thing and think you know better). We got the tent and all the bits that come with it back in the correct bags just like we started!!!!!. OVERALL this was a very enjoyable camping experience made by the quality of the tent can't wait to go again.................
Wow, really pleased we decided to buy the outwell Hartford. The interior provides great space and the central area is so high Even I at 5'7 have to jump to touch the very top!!! The three bedrooms provide plenty of space for beds and bags. We went away with 4 adults and 2 children and there was more than enough room for everything and everyone Putting the tent up is easy peasy but Definately two people needed. We managed it in 40 minutes On the first try :). Would certainly recommend the Hartford to friends and families Overall would certainly recommend the hartford.
We bought this tent about 15 months ago and WOW its FANTASTIC!!! We have had 2 seperate week Holidays this year, 2 Adults and 2 children and 1 OAP! There is loads of room and you can walk in and out without bending over!! We bought the carpet to go with the tent and it was well worth it!! Easy to erect ( about 1 hour ) Happy Camping!
Family of 4 lived in this tent including the porch extension, additional foot print ground sheet and inside carpet for 11 nights. Big, airy, well ventilated, stable in wind, pleasing colour and therefore interior day lighting. Colour coded poles makes it easier to erect. Easy to put up?? Well for such a large tent may be, but for two adults it's hard work, 2.5 hours first time, 2 hours second time, I doubt we will ever do it much quicker than 1 hour 45 minutes. We saw a family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers get one up inside 45 minutes in good weather while we were camped. Similar time to take down. Interior rooms ready to use once up as they are all clipped inside (can be detached if required), which means the inner lining doesn't get wet if you have to put it up or take it down in the rain. If only 2 adults available to put it up it is best for 1 to 2+ week trips rather than touring around. Effort worth it for the size and comfort when pitched. We managed to get 5 adults and 4 children seated around tables under cover under the porch extension and outer "hall" of the tent. Buy plenty of spare plastic tent pegs as we found about half were bent and not re-usable when we took down the tent. All round an absolutely superb family tent sleeping 5 in comfort, more would start to be a squeeze but is possible. The interior centre room is so large you could have several more people sleeping there.
This is our first family tent and we are all desperately hoping for good weather at the weekend so we can venture out. Bit of a struggle with our first pitching attempt but that was more due to our inexperience than anything else. Probably took just an hour and a half once we engaged our brains!!
