Hartford XLP Tent 2013 Evolution Collection by Outwell
The Hartford XLP sleeps up to eight in three bedroom pods that radiate from the central dome living area. The fourth side features a large panorama room that not only offers a bright place to relax while enjoying unsurpassed views through those huge windows, backed by toggle-up curtains, but the removal of the detachable groundsheet provides an invaluable ‘wet room’. The tent also features the new Treetop Green colourway of our own Outtex 4000 tent fabric, flat pole sleeves and the new logo-embossed front to the inners. Campers benefit from the Night Sky Ceiling that darkens a bedroom to help improve sleep. Pitching is simplified and stability enhanced by the Outwell Easy Pegging and Wind Stabilizer Systems. The Hartford P Range
The Hartford P range comprises a single tent: The Hartford XLP. This evolution of the popular classic large family dome provides three sleeping pods radiating from a living room that boasts superior space and an eye-catching panorama room. It is this letter feature that sets the tent apart, opening up the tent interior and adding a huge extra living room to the front of the tent. The removal of the detachable groundsheet adds extra versatility by creating a wet room in which to store and clean outdoor gear. The range comes in our latest Treetop Green and uses our own Outtex 4000 tent fabric with a logo-embossed front to the inner tents. Sleek looks are lifted further by the flat pole sleeves over the bedroom and porch extensions. Other Outwell innovations include the good-looking, practical Outwell Wave-shaped Hanging Point System, the Outwell Easy Pegging System and the gale-beating Outwell Wind Stabilizer system.
Evolution Collection
Evolution collection that has, as the name suggests, evolved from our deluxe tents. The eye is drawn in by the latest inspiring treetop green of the Outtex 4000 tent fabric, panorama front and large windows with toggle-up curtains behind. Flat pole sleeves (half sleeves/ half clip) provide even greater stability and sleek good looks while quality Duratec poles are used to reduce weight. The collection is packed with Outwell innovations like our latest Night Sky Ceiling that helps improve sleep quality by reducing the amount of light entering the bedrooms. Easy pitching is further simplified by the addition of the Outwell Easy Pegging System that ensures the right peg for the job is quickly located. In-house tests show that a correctly pitched evolution tent with our Outwell Wind Stabilizer System deployed can withstand force 9 winds. Evolution tents are supplied in our latest carry bags.

Outwell Wave-Shaped Hanging Point System
This attractive feature also serves a practical purpose. Unlike traditional hanging points that focus the stress on a single point of the inner tent’s seam, this spreads the stress along the seam to prevent damage.Low Door Step
Our latest way to help prevent accidents reduces the door step to minimise the risk of tripping.
Toggle-Up Curtains
Open fully, half close, or close fully to tailor light and privacy levels to suit a camper’s changing daily needs.
Panorama Room/Panorama Front
These add to an Outwell tent’s chic good looks while increasing a tent’s living space and providing unrivalled wide views out.
Embossed Inner Front
The inner tent now features our fashionable yet subtle logo-embossed front and Night Sky Ceiling that reduces light intensity for a good night’s sleep.
Family of 4 lived in this tent including the porch extension, additional foot print ground sheet and inside carpet for 11 nights. Big, airy, well ventilated, stable in wind, pleasing colour and therefore interior day lighting. Colour coded poles makes it easier to erect. Easy to put up?? Well for such a large tent may be, but for two adults it's hard work, 2.5 hours first time, 2 hours second time, I doubt we will ever do it much quicker than 1 hour 45 minutes. We saw a family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers get one up inside 45 minutes in good weather while we were camped. Similar time to take down. Interior rooms ready to use once up as they are all clipped inside (can be detached if required), which means the inner lining doesn't get wet if you have to put it up or take it down in the rain. If only 2 adults available to put it up it is best for 1 to 2+ week trips rather than touring around. Effort worth it for the size and comfort when pitched. We managed to get 5 adults and 4 children seated around tables under cover under the porch extension and outer "hall" of the tent. Buy plenty of spare plastic tent pegs as we found about half were bent and not re-usable when we took down the tent. All round an absolutely superb family tent sleeping 5 in comfort, more would start to be a squeeze but is possible. The interior centre room is so large you could have several more people sleeping there.
We bought this tent about 15 months ago and WOW its FANTASTIC!!! We have had 2 seperate week Holidays this year, 2 Adults and 2 children and 1 OAP! There is loads of room and you can walk in and out without bending over!! We bought the carpet to go with the tent and it was well worth it!! Easy to erect ( about 1 hour )
Wow, really pleased we decided to buy the outwell Hartford. The interior provides great space and the central area is so high Even I at 5'7 have to jump to touch the very top!!! The three bedrooms provide plenty of space for beds and bags. We went away with 4 adults and 2 children and there was more than enough room for everything and everyone Putting the tent up is easy peasy but Definately two people needed. We managed it in 40 minutes On the first try :). Would certainly recommend the Hartford to friends and families Overall would certainly recommend the hartford.
This is a great family tent, loads of room and the light that comes in from the panorama room at the front makes it feel even bigger. Putting it up from opening the bag to the last guide rope took my wife and I one hour and twenty five min, (tip, study the you Tube video on how to do it) and follow it , it really does work, I got the foot print, carpet and tent in a bundle, the foot print keeps the base of the tent dry and the carpet makes the tent floor feel very warm. Taking it down took roughly the same amount of time and again check out the you tube vid and stick with it (don't go doing the bloke thing and think you know better). We got the tent and all the bits that come with it back in the correct bags just like we started!!!!!. OVERALL this was a very enjoyable camping experience made by the quality of the tent can't wait to go again.................
Brillant easy and quick to errect. Spacious and full of pockets, good ventilation excellent for our youth group. 5 adults had ample sleeping space with space for more although 8 adults would have been tight but because of the spacious central area and porch it could have worked.
