Ideal to secure all types of tent groundsheets with eyelets, these plastic groundsheet pegs are highly visible to prevent loss and accidents that involve tripping over. Sold seperately, the basic design of these groundsheet tent pegs include small ridges to grip the pegs better when in the ground, while the large circular tip helps to hold the groundsheet in place. The Gelert plastic groundsheet peg will also pull from the ground easily, making the groundsheet peg better than tent pegs for securing groundsheets as the peg will simply be pulled from the ground if tripped over, rather than the risk of tearing the groundsheet.

These pegs are much better for holding down the footprint than normal pegs. You don't need heavyweight fixings for this job - you just need the footprint to stay still when it's a bit windy - and you don't want to keep kicking normal pegs as you erect the tent on top. It is a good job that they are not intended to be heavyweight fixings though - they pull out easily when you are packing up - as the holes through the tops are not leage enough for our peg pullers. Well worth buying.

Made life much easier using these pegs in lieu of normal pegs for the 3 ground sheets I use underneath my Velmouth XL, 1 sheet under the main body of the tent, 1 under the extention and 1 under the kitchen section.
