Just the floor "footprint" size i wanted...Very spacious without taking up 2 camping plots...Has extra covered length if adding extension..Variable position for front wall, so ideal if we decide to go away for a weekend on our own...
I really like a lot of Outwells smart solutions. The tent is easy to mount, I even managed it myself once, it took me about 35 min.
The fabric is very rain proof, we had a dreadful week with rain and strong winds without any problems. However, the "mud valance", the black edges on the "porch"-section, is a weakness. The intention is for you to tighten it outwards, but that doesn't really work. Wind catches the edges and there are quite big spaces between the black sheets on some places. We even had small birds visiting indoors when we were away! We folded the black fabric under the carpet instead, wich is better in hard weather, but not an easy thing to do with such thin material.
The doors are also a weak spot. It is hard to fasten them properly from the inside.
the poles are good and strong, and the roof part is very good thanks to its' convex form. No puddles on the roof.
The inner tent is good for a family. We slept 3 ppl in the big room, and opened up to the smaller one, where the 4th one slept. There was no problem with dampness or condention in there. There are storage pockets for papers and magazines on the walls, which is a good thing.
, Together with the matching carpet, which is a bliss!, we really like our tent and will use it a lot in both summer and colder seasons.
We have not yet erected the tent, but I must congratulate Camping World for excellent service. I received the tent less than 24 hours from ordering. Great customer service.
Excellent tent - exactly what I wanted - the movable front panel is a great facility. The only downside for me was packing it away but practice will get it better!
