Bridgedale Outdoor Ltd is the global market leader in the manufacture of technical socks for: Walking/ Hiking, Mountaineering, Running, Skiing, and Everyday. 

We set out to design and manufacture the most comfortable socks on the market; using the latest machinery, the most progressive designs and the most advanced yarn technology. Our unique Fusion Technology combines natural fibres with technical fibres ensuring Bridgedale socks are the most comfortable you will ever wear! 

We sell Bridgedale socks in over 40 countries worldwide. Whether for walking the Appalachian Trail or climbing Mount Fuji, Bridgedale socks have become the most trusted and comfortable sock brand on the market. 

In January 2012 we launched a new look for the brand and have updated our packaging, web site and point of sale material. The packaging has been designed to reduce waste by 40% and the Fusion Technologies will help with selecting the most appropriate style in store and the rest of our marketing materials reflect our new branding.

Today we have over 500 products in the range! 

Bridgedale Outdoor Ltd is based at the tip of the Strangford Lough, Newtownards, near Belfast in Northern Ireland under the shadow of the Scrabo Tower which was built as a monument to Lord Londonderry. 

The factory has been knitting socks in Newtownards since WW1, when the first army socks were made. The strong heritage in hosiery is a feature of the Bridgedale brand. Several of the team have been working in the factory for over 40 years, so you could say we know our socks! 

When the first Bridgedale socks were launched in the early 1980's there were 3 colours: Red, Green and Navy, 2 sizes: 4-7 and 7-11 and 2 lengths: Boot or Knee. A total of 12 products. 

We now have over 500 products in the range! 

Bridgedale prides itself on producing the most comfortable, highest quality, hardwearing socks in the business. We are market leaders in the innovation of hosiery technology which means we produce the most comfortable socks from the latest machinery. 

We are continually investing in the latest knitting and finishing machinery which enables us to develop new designs and constantly improve the performance of our socks. 

Every single Bridgedale sock has passed through a series of inspection processes and at the packing stage is hand inspected to reach our very high quality standards. 

Quality is at the heart of everything we do. 

 Our product development team is continually listening to our customers and looking to make continual improvements. We have a panel of gear testers to help with comfort and durability trials, some of them walk over 100 miles/ week. 

We look to understand the latest trends in footwear technology and produce innovative products that work with the latest footwear systems to provide all day, enduring comfort. 

We look to appeal to as many outdoor enthusiasts across the world who are passionate about their activities and want to wear the most comfortable socks on their feet.
